Reserve Shift
Originally featured in J, the Reserve Shift, available only for battleships, allows the player to shift from deployed units to undeployed ones.
Rules of Shifting
- The Shift option is only available if the Shift stat of a battleship is upgraded
- A single battleship allows a maximum of 3 shifts (for each level of upgrade for the stat)
- The player can shift any deployed unit (except for forced deployed units) and change it for any undeployed unit
- After the shift, the shifted unit won't be available until next stage
- The newly deployed unit will start the battle as if it was on first turn, with morale not affected by combat
Hints
- Shifting can be of use in account of units with depleted Seishins. Seishin is unrecoverable without the use of items or enhance parts, so the only way to get a brand new Seishin list is to get a new, undeployed unit
- Shifting can be a disadvantage for newly deployed units because their morale is not affected by the combat. When a unit is deployed through shifting, it's morale will be at its supposed initial value (usually 100)
- There are four battleships with the Shift stat: Archangel, Nadesico C, Nadesico (Y Unit) and Re-Home. A total of 12 shifting possibilities
- With the new unit command Load, a battleship can move near an active player unit and load it inside the battleship. Shifting the loaded unit with a new one will keep its move turn
