Mission "Order to Destroy Nadesico"
Summary
While the Valstork Family heads towards their next destination, Kazuma is sure they can show off their power against the Nadesico in a battleship combat. Meanwhile, at Alliance's base, Corbet argues with Misumaru and Forreston about Nadesico's doings and their pursue. Corbet wants to either get Nadesico's power to his side or destroy it to show off what the Alliance is capable of.
Near Orbital Ring, Yurika and Prospector have a briefing meeting to settle their destination point. For Akito, it's a good thing they're going to Mars to rescue the survivors at Utopia Colony. But the Alliance forces reach them. Among the ace squad of Moebius Zero is Mu, who is hesitant about this mission of destroying a civilian ship. However, this battle can't be avoided, as the Aestevalis launch.
When the Jovian Lizards approach the battlefield, the Alliance forces remains decide to retreat. But this time, the Trailers appear alongside the Preventer and Space Knight. Seeing that their target is much busy with an alien force, they decide to help out the fellow spacemen first. And among those spacemen, Mu comes back to, this time, help Nadesico against the invaders, and shows to them that not all at the Alliance is corrupt.
The battle is over, but the Valstork Family's mission isn't. Kazuma is sure of himself about destroying Nadesico. But the Eastasia's forces appear, with Jun leading the forces. He wants Yurika to surrender, but that's the last thing she'd do. Kazuma threatens to destroy the battleship, but Jun protects it instead. Bless orders Kazuma to shoot in the said direction, and a blinding light covers everyone's eyes. When the Eastasian forces don't detect Nadesico's existence, they retreat.
Kazuma is sad about the sacrifices he had to make by destroying the ship, but Mihiro calms him down. Nadesico is alright, as it was all an act to deceive the Eastasian forces, only Kazuma didn't know about that. Freeman's mission was about deceiving the Alliance of destroying Nadesico so they could go freely to Mars, and so they do.
