This week’s Famitsu scans (via SRW Hotnews) show some bits of info about characters’ special attacks and other:

  • Aledy’s Souha no Kamae casts Awaken, which raises max COM to 120%, and Drive, which heals 50% of COM, to all allies.
  • Aschen’s Code Anfisbaena (spelling?) attacks 2 characters randomly (allies included), causing them to stun.
  • Neige’s Secret Live casts several seishin to all allies, from Uplift to Dance and Fighting Spirit.
  • Axel & Alfimi’s Mabui Kurai damages enemies while absorbing HP.
  • Suzuka’s Jakigun Tokyo Revival Fest heals and revives allies.
  • The E Gauge warns players about Forced Evasion: the E Gauge grows as enemies are hit, and once full, they have a chance to do a Forced Evasion if the players misses a combo.

This week’s Famitsu’s scans, by SRW Hotnews, shows all characters from the previous game that make a comeback. And it’s all of them, literally: Haken, Kaguya, Aschen, Reiji, Xiaomu and Kos-Mos. Complete with new cut-ins, old sprites reanimated and more bare skin and butt shots. That’s one hell of a fanservice

Update: the official website has lots of new content, including a few screenshots and clips of the action! Release date is set to February 25th, 2010.

SRW Neo is finally here, and the game delivers a completely different SRW experience than any other.

The full 3D environment, although poor on details, is really a nice change of pace, with events and battles happening almost in real-time. I say almost, because we can still see the screen fade effect from each unit’s attack during the animation part.

Just a few weeks from release and the usual first stage hints are given. A few weeks ago, SRW Hotnews Famitsu scans presented us the first 3 stages for Neo and a few plot hints.

This week, there’s a review score info: 8,7,7,7 (corrected) and Famitsu Ichigogumi’s snippets that show the 4th stage featuring Liger’s rival Dolga, and a split at the 5th stage, making us choose from getting Gosaurer or Ganbaruger first.

Update: added leaked scans from Reference Book (?) and HQ scans from Ichigogumi.

After completing all normal stages, I’ve finally reached the EX Stages, and they’re tough!
For EX I, I’ve used a moderate team, as it was after completing SEED stages, the pilots and units were in good form, though I couldn’t complete all War Breaks (I reloaded after one of my units got IHKO by a Geara Doga O_o).
For EX II, my team was formed by many level 1 grunt suits and a few good leveled pilots, so I gave up even before the 1st Wars Break.
For EX III I used good suits with all main characters possible, though many of them are still in low level (got Kira and Usso as my two last scout links), so I stopped at the last Wars Break once again.

  • What’s up with SEED series and all the time limited stages, really?
  • V’s stage is tough if you let Angel Hailow affect your team
  • EX Stages I, II and III: antagonists showdown, no Wars Breaks for me
  • Let the grinding begin!
