In preparation for SRW Neo, I’ve started to look for the unknown shows before the game comes out.

The first series that got me curious is Iron Leaguer. It’s apparently a sports oriented series starring robots of the height of a tall person. What kind of twist is there to bring it to the SRW universe, aside from SS sized mechs? Watch Iron Leaguer’s 1st episode in Japanese after the break. Unfortunately, no subs are available to my knowledge, so I prepared a short summary.

Summary

In a deadly Iron League soccer match, the Dark Prince team uses rough play against their opponent, the Silver Castle team. Fair play evangelist Mach Windy is against his own team’s methods and leaves, gaining fans from young crowd.

While signing for his new fans, Mach Windy is alerted by his former team member Gold Foot that he has no other choice but to go back, as Dark Sports Foundation owner Gillot is pressing the other team owners to not accept him as a member. As Mach Windy struggles in his doubt, a mysterious baseball leaguer confronts him, telling him to “live honestly to himself“.

As Silver Castle is lacking the time and resources to make a decent maintenance on its team members, the players are considering using the same rough play to counter Dark Prince, while two of the original team members retire. For Silver Castle’s owner Ruri’s surprise, her team gains two reinforce members.

The next day’s match starts with Mach Windy against his former team. But his powered Zig-zag Shoot isn’t able to break through the goalkeeper’s tight defense. Dark Prince KOs Silver Castle’s goalkeeper, and the team coach switches to a new goalie: Magnum Ace, the baseball leaguer. Tossing the ball back to Mach Windy, he’s able to score by improvising with his skills.

However, the match wasn’t over. Gillot orders his scientists to activate a secret mechanism that causes pain to Mach Windy, making him unable to move. As Silver Castle’s new ace faints, will the team be able to keep up with Dark Prince’s play?

  1. When will you be writing summaries for the rest of the episodes?
I’ve been trying to find full episodes of this series for the longest time, but this is the closest I’ve gotten.
Subbed episodes of Iron Leaguer practically doesnt exist, so I’ve been wondering when you’ll be writing summaries for the rest of the series.

  2. Sorry I’ve been delaying those summaries, I’m still trying to get hold of all the news stuff, so few time is left to watch anime… I’m also having trouble finding the later episodes and I can’t publish the video from the Japanese site directly into a post anymore, so it’ll be a link to watch at the source. Luckly, some of the following episodes are still available, and I’m preparing to post episode 6′s summary in a few days. Thanks for the patience!
