Two episodes of Iron Leaguer so far, and we’re introduced to the main characters: Mach Windy, a soccer player, and Magnum Ace, a mysterious baseball player. There’s also Kiai Ryuken, a tough karate fighter, who seems more like a sidekick so far. It’s an interesting series, though I still can’t see how it fits in Neo… Maybe the cannon on Magnum Ace’s shoulder in the opening is a given? Anyway, watch Iron Leaguer’s 3rd episode after the break.

Mach Windy fails twice to catch Magnum Ace’s ball, and the coach thinks it’s troublesome to keep trying, as Mach Windy can’t be easily maintained, being made by the rival team afterall. But Hiroshi and the kids have a friend at hospital that might help out with the necessary parts.

As Magnum Ace and the kids meet up with Bull Armor for the parts, one of the kids is almost run over a truck. But Bull Armor is powerful enough to stop the truck, making Ace ask if he is an Iron Leaguer, which Bull Armor denies. But Mach Windy and the coach seems to know about him, and as Ace sees Bull Armor as a potential catcher, the coach knows he’ll probably never accept it.

Ace follows the coach’s advice to ask about it to Bull Armor himself, and Mach Windy follows him to thank for the parts. Ace finds Bull Armor drinking some oil and remembering his good days, and invites him to be the team’s catcher. Meanwhile, Mach Windy finds something behind one of Bull Armor’s pictures. Bull Armor refuses Ace’s invitation, as he promised himself to never be part of the league ever again. Bull Armor leaves, and Mach Windy reveals he had found a disk.

The Silver Castle team gather up to watch the contents of the disk: it’s a recording of Bull Armor’s game. Likewise Silver Castle’s match, Bull Armor’s opponent team used rough play against them, making him furious. With Bull Armor’s horn pointing forward, he lost control over his own mind, destroying everything in his path. After that, he decided to give up, and disappeared from the league. The coach explains that the cost for trying to fix the bug is more than building a new robot from scratch, and not even a certain fix.

Even so, Ace doesn’t give up. He draws Bull Armor’s attention with the video, and demands Bull Armor’s power on his side. Bull Armor is worried he might even kill him once out of control, but Ace is prepared to break his horn when time comes. Bull Armor tells Ace he’s at the hospital to pay for his crimes, by helping fix the broken leaguers. But for Ace, Bull Armor’s challenge is to confront himself.

Ruri and the coach watch a video of Dark Kings’ pitching, and Ruri gets desperate on their current situation. Kiai Ryuken announces that he appeared. Bull Armor raises his horn once again to accept Ace’s challenge. As Bull Armor fulfill his role as a catcher, Ruri feels like they can win, but the coach is still uneasy. Dark Kings members Gold Mask and Gold Arm laugh at Bull Armor and Ace’s performance, saying homeruns would be inevitable with such play.
