I’ve been postponing the last stage of Wing in fear of the Planet Defensors (trauma from F, I guess), so I’ve been playing a few random unplayed stages. So far:

  • Time-limited stages can be annoying, specially Turn A’s 2nd stage where enemies come from all sides and your team isn’t fit, as in non-flight capable or have limited move range
  • Trying to fill the One Year War “low-tier” units profiles, from a Type 61 Tank and going upward
  • Using Minerva can be a pain to units with low movement range: their only way out is going sideways
  • I’m surprised that they’re using Anna ni Issho datta noni and Kimi wa Boku ni Niteiru as Kira’s and Shinn’s Super Strike BGMs, respectively, yet there’s no special song for Seabook (Kimi wo Mitsumete would have been nice)
  • So far the CG movie cut-scenes are awesome in their thematic and cross-over situations, although Turn A’s feels out of place somehow
  • Spamming Meer’s Zaku Warrior’s Map weapon is amazing at first, but not amusing for those wanting challenge

Another Generation, Earthlight Moonlight Butterfly, Destruction of Knox

The Soleil and Diana Counter stand-by near Inglessa castle, but the Militia open fire with their small force. Harry leads Soleil’s defense, and Loran launches to aid the Militia. Confront Harry with Loran and the castle is destroyed by Corin.

As soon as you defeat Corin with the Master Unit, Mashmar appears with his Axis fleet to conquer the city in the name of Haman.

Another Generation, Earthlight Moonlight Butterfly, Wilgeim Take-off

The Milita uncovers a spaceship called Wilgeim at the mountains. But Diana Counter isn’t willing to let the Militia go to space with it. Surrounded at the ship’s hole, Harry deploys against his own army to protect Diana, who’s at Wilgeim as Kiel Heim. The Wilgeim takes off in 8 turns. But as you defeat Po with Harry, Mashmar comes to annoy again, this time with Chara.

By now having 2 ships is a must. Take one of the south before reaching the turn limit. As soon as you defeat Mashmar with the Master Unit, Urube brings the Neo Japan’s army to capture Turn A.

This stage was a real pain considering I still had to rely on one Carry Base, which isn’t fit to move around and back and forth, and my units were most landed units, except for GX and Wing Zero. The turn limit brought the stage to an end without annihilating the enemies.

New Generation, Break the World, Assault at Karnaghan

The Minerva resumes their military operation after the Break the World incident and the restart of the Alliance-ZAFT conflict. To intervene with the Alliance’s resupply, they try to attack a valley that has a Lohengreen cannon to protect the base. At the same time, the cannon is protected by a reflector-equipped Mobile Armor.

Using a local citizen’s data of a hidden cave that leads near the cannon, Athrun has Shinn deploy on the separated Impulse to head through the darkness of the caves, while Minerva draws their attention. The cannon will keep firing the cannon continuously at pair numbered turns. This stage also has an 8 turn limit, but this time it isn’t as bad as Turn A’s stage. Confront the Gellzuge with Athrun and Katejina appears in her MS at the south.

As soon as you defeat Katejina with a Master Unit, Shinn comes out of the caves and destroys the Lohengreen cannon. But the Frost brothers bring out a Gundam X  and a bunch of GX Bits out of nowhere to shoot down Minerva. Along with it, two more Lohengreen cannons, which doesn’t mean much now that the turn limit is over.

Origin Generation, Next Generation Conflict, Point Casaleria

Liga Militia is escaping from the Vespa thanks to Usso’s participation in combat. But Katejina and Shakti are against it. As soon as Vespa attacks again, Usso deploys alongside Marvet. The Camions will head east, where Chronicle awaits. Defeat Chronicle with Usso and more Zanscare faces Lupe and Pipiniden appear. At west, Oliver brings reinforcements of the Shrike team to your side.

Take out both Lupe and Pipinide with the Master Unit and Corin Nandar appears screaming for some Gundam action. As the Camions continue to head east, be careful not to have them surrouded. This is another stage where moving back and forth is important, as there are enemies at both sides.

Another Generation, Colony Fight Legend, Breakthrough Devil Siege

Domon leaves Rain alone at Guiana Highlands for some training, and the Shuffle Union people arrive worried about him. As Devil Army appears leaded by Master, Domon comes back, taunted by his former master. Schwartz appears in his Gundam Spiegel, suggesting them to run while he creates a chance.

Defeat Master Asia with Domon and the Frost brothers arrive to defeat the Shuffle Union, as they’re important keepers of the world. Defeat both Frost brothers with Master Unit and the Shuffle Union leaves for Neo Hong-Kong. But Domon knows Master is still near, and calls him out. Turns out Devil Gundam is also there, and is huge!

Another Generation, Colony Fight Legend, Devil Gundam Resurrected

The Gundam Fight’s battle royale is about to start at Lantao Island, but Master Asia brings Domon into a trap. Neros Gundam turns into Gundam Heavens Sword, and John Bull Gundam becomes Grand Gundam. But Domon has his friends to help out, as the Shuffle Union and Gundam Spiegel appear to confront the Four Generals of Devil Gundam, as Domon gets to know the truth about Schwartz.

Defeat Master Asia with Domon and the Devil Gundam finally appears with reinforces. Defeat the Devil Gundam with Domon, and Master Asia reappears in his Super Mode. Behind him, Ali Al Saachez intervenes, arguing that a peaceful way of choosing leadership using the Gundam Fight has brought his business down.

New Generation, Break the World, Rough Combat Sea Zone

With the Earth Alliance’s pressure over Orb, Yuna ends up joining the Alliance’s forces to avoid another war for his country. At the sea of Dardanelles, Minerva faces Orb’s fleet. To hasten the combat’s end, Talia orders to fire the Lohengreen, but Minerva’s cannon is hit by a beam shot. The surprise entry is revealed as Freedom Gundam and Kira, Athrun’s friend.

As soon as you confront Kira with Athrun, Kira tells him Cagalli is crying because of this situation, and puts an end into Athrun’s show by chopping Saviour into pieces. Phantom Pain’s fleet arrives at west, and Cagalli comes out in her Strike Rouge to try to convince Orb to retreat. But Yuna says she’s a fake, and orders to attack. Archangel retreats, instead of wrecking havok on both sides. Orb’s flagship Takemikazuchi advances by Todaka’s order.

Send Shinn to sink the Takemikazuchi and the Frost brothers appear to get their revenge on their previous encounter, by bringing the Gundam Belphagor. The new forces appear at the sky map, so be sure to bring a few flight capable units if you don’t wish to wait for them to come down.

Origin Generation, Neo-Zeon Conflict, Gate of Zedan

AEUG and Axis join their forces to take out the Gate of Zedan, Titans’ fortress and former Zeon’s A-Baoa-Qu. Haman’s fleet deploys at the front-line, so it’s up to the AEUG to protect her ship. Defeat Jerrid with Camille and Scirocco appears with his wing-women, as Haman’s ship leaves the field.

Be careful as Scirocco can dodge pretty well. As soon as Camille confronts Scirocco, Cima fleet appears siding with the Titans.

Another Generation, Earthlight Moonlight Butterfly, Gate of Moon World

The Militia arrives at Twistle Toe, Diana’s production asteroid. Harry leaves the Wilgeim with Kiel, who plays Diana to try to stop Gim. Meanwhile, Sweatson surrounds Loran and the MS that brings the real Diana. Defeat Sweatson with Loran and a surprise entry comes: Puru in her Qubeley.

But Puru brings out Mass Produced Qubeleys to aid her on destroying the Twistle Toe. Defeat Puru with Loran and Urube comes out with his Neo Japan fleet once again. With Devil Gundam’s and Turn A’s power, he’d become the ruler of the world.

At this point, I’ve experimented with a few units, recruiting Sven to become Sword Strike’s pilot (aiming for a Strike Noir), Lunamaria in the EW Wing Zero, and Meer in a Zaku Warrior. I have to say that spamming Meer’s Map weapon to raise the team’s MP is almost like using cheat codes, only in an official and non-instant way.
