New scans from Famitsu show a few new ACE-R gameplay systems:

  • Tension Attack: fill the Tension Gauge by defeating enemies and you’ll be able to use special attacks, i.e.: Mugen Punch and Mugen Cross for Aquarion
  • Chase Mode: normal stages in ACE-R will have the unit fly around as past ACE games, but a few specific stages will be sort of “on-rails” and the unit’s movement will be semi-automatic along with the camera angle.

This week scans show Famitsu’s review for Masoukishin – Lord of Elemental (7/8/8/8) and release date for Another Century’s Episode R (August 19th).

Also, it seems that Amuro’s Z Gundam 3 will be available through a special product code as a pre-order bonus. The unit is normally unlockable via special conditions, but those in a rush to use it can pre-order the game and unlock it at the beginning. The scan also shows a weapon charge system and pilot swapping.

Within this week’s scans, there’s new info on Masoukishin – Lord of Elemental. This time, the story is told in a rush, although not much detail can be made out from the scans. Update: bigger ones added to the gallery.

Basically, Masaki appears at La Gias, and becomes Jaoum’s pilot. Zamzeed and Granveil are the first true Masoukishins to appear, and later Gaddeth is awakened. Then the Cybuster is stolen but finally awakes with Masaki riding it.

Sorry if it seems like I’m lacking interest, I am. I’m not a big fan of Masoukishin saga although I never played the old one. Guess I got biased by watching the anime first and not liking it… I’m more excited about ACER even though I don’t own a PS3. Anyway, a few days left for the release, I’ll give it a try if I have a chance. On the positive side, with Masoukishin released, it opens up the possibility of a new SRW announcement. One can only hope.
