After almost a month from the release date, my copy of Exceed Limited Edition arrived due to being held on customs. But it was definitely worth the wait. It actually arrived on March 24th, but I only got to write a post about it now.
Okay, this week’s Famitsu scan (via SRW Hotnews) is totally showing off Exceed’s quality to exceed (pun intended) the previous title’s fan-serviceness. The whole two-page is dedicated to screenshots of the game’s overwhelming number of assets and breastets. Aside from that, Exceed scored 32/40 points at their review and a “Good Job Game” sealing. One week left, here’s hope that Play-Asia ships copies early as usual.
New scans this week (one from SRW Hotnews as usual) shows more characters as support and enemies as well as enough proof that this game is truly fan-service first (not that there’s anything wrong with it).
Updated with Prologue’s 3rd mission info, Bounty Hunter system and HQ scans.
New Famitsu scans reveal new and returning characters:
Support characters:
- Ezel Granada uses Pantzer Bomber.
- Katze Kotolnos uses Round Eighty.
- Henne Valkyria uses Fader Ray.
- Kyon Feulion uses Bronte Sword.
Enemy characters:
- Pete Pain: one of the W Number(?), uses Lostboy Slaughter.
- Cardia Basirissa: same old W06, uses Kirin Assault.
- Hilde Bran: related to Henne perhaps? Uses Fader Storm.
- Cleo Greuter: a medusa-ish girl, maybe related to Katze. Uses Majo no Kamado
More scans on Endless Frontier Exceed via SRW Hotnews, this time detailing on Support Character as well as the antagonists. Also, a new PV is available at the official site‘s Movie section.
This week’s Famitsu scans (via SRW Hotnews) show some bits of info about characters’ special attacks and other:
- Aledy’s Souha no Kamae casts Awaken, which raises max COM to 120%, and Drive, which heals 50% of COM, to all allies.
- Aschen’s Code Anfisbaena (spelling?) attacks 2 characters randomly (allies included), causing them to stun.
- Neige’s Secret Live casts several seishin to all allies, from Uplift to Dance and Fighting Spirit.
- Axel & Alfimi’s Mabui Kurai damages enemies while absorbing HP.
- Suzuka’s Jakigun Tokyo Revival Fest heals and revives allies.
- The E Gauge warns players about Forced Evasion: the E Gauge grows as enemies are hit, and once full, they have a chance to do a Forced Evasion if the players misses a combo.
A surprising revelation coming from Endless Frontier Exceed’s TV CM (via SRW Hotnews): Fighter Roar! I missed entirely that it was hinted at the previous scans that there would be a few support characters available besides mechs.
New scans from Famitsu this week (via SRW Hotnews) features a new couple: Axel Almer and Alfimi, from the OG Gaiden fame, as well some info on new system and an opening animated by XEBEC.
Update: uploaded HQ scan. Also, go visit the official website, there’s a few changes regarding this update.

This week’s Famitsu’s scans, by SRW Hotnews, shows all characters from the previous game that make a comeback. And it’s all of them, literally: Haken, Kaguya, Aschen, Reiji, Xiaomu and Kos-Mos. Complete with new cut-ins, old sprites reanimated and more bare skin and butt shots. That’s one hell of a fanservice
Update: the official website has lots of new content, including a few screenshots and clips of the action! Release date is set to February 25th, 2010.
